is it possible to post pics of your tractor in this forum, if so, how?

Really quite simple. This new style bb code allows all kinds of wonderful things.

Examples:

I have a picture uploaded to an online server -

It has an address of

http://www.cleancomputes.com/Cub/CubCadets.jpg

If I want to show the image, I highlight the url then click the img button at the top of the post a reply window. It then brings up a dialog box and you can paste in the url. Click ok and presto bang there it is.

to complicated for me, i tried but don't quite get it, i have some pics in yahoo, maybe someday

K, try this then. It should be much easier.

Click add a reply, which will take you to the reply screen.

Now, open up a second session of Internet Explorer - so you will have two IE's running.

In the second session of IE - go to where your pics are. Look in the address bar - it should tell you what the url is - for example - the address bar for this page is:
http://www.antiquefarmalltractors.com/inde...ODE=02&f=2&t=24

Click on the address bar - the address will highlight - blue bar across the address. Right click on this and click copy.

Now, come back to the first session of IE which is where your reply screen is.

Click the IMG button. A box will appear. Right click in the box when it shows http: highlighted and then click paste. Then click ok.

Next click preview.

You should then see your pic.

Once you get the hang of it, it really is very easy. It just takes a few tries. I have been working/playing with computers since 1975 and it still takes me a few tries to learn something new. Course Windows is a heck of a lot different from Main Frames and UNIX....

tried it a couple of times, keeps giving me an error code, dynamic pages not allowed. must be something with yahoo.

Yup, should have said something about Yahoo and HP Photo. They do not allow links to other servers as it uses up a fair amount of bandwidth.

www.picturetrail.com does. A lot of folks I know use this site for uploading pics and then posting them on the forums.

However: probably 99% of ISP's provide between 5megs and 10megs of PERSONAL WEB SPACE for each of their customers. I have it even though I do not use it much as I have the other server.

You actually get this with you account. Call your ISP and they can walk you through it. You will need an FTP client - I recommend WS_FTP, it probably is the easiest and best FREE ftp program on the market. You can also go to your ISP's home page and they should have a link to a section that deals with personal web space - how to create it, how to upload files etc. Not only that, but you can create your own webpage with MS Frontpage and upload it to your space. This way you can show off your tractors and such ALONG WITH a narrative and stuff. This is probably the best option.
