Icon Important Announcement!

We recently suffered from a hard drive failure and the back up of the forum was bad so we searched for a good back up and the only one we found was from 2006. We lost 3 years of members and posts but we are going to continue to rebuild the forum. We now have a new back up solution in place so by all means signup.

How important is to have similar casting numbers when hunting parts? I am new at this but have a Super C with a broken crankshaft, tractor has a R2 number on the block casting have found a short block but it has a R1 on its casting? Will I have problems with parts/head matching up?
Thank for any help
