just a ?  is the drain on the bottom of a 1950 cub threaded or ?    I don't want to break it . or should it be scraped and some break-loose solvent be put on thanks jt

Mine is a '47 and is threaded.  Don't know why they would change a good thing.  Lefty - loosey but remember, that only works if you are looking directly at the threaded piece. So get under, look up and turn it counter-clockwise.  Hit it with penetrating oil (from underneath) if you like.  The oil will work its way into the threads.  Good luck.
