Hey All!
My wifes father just gave me a 1949? Farmall Cub. I put on new plugs and wires, took the carb all apart and cleaned it, changed the oil and coolant, new batt etc. Here is my problem, I can get the tractor started no problem, can adjust the throttle fine either way, but as soon as I engage the clutch to put the tractor in gear it stalls. It does this no matter what the position of the throttle is. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Eric

Does it stall when you push the clutch in or when you let the clutch out jpcubs

Hey All!

Solved the problem, turns out I had 3 valves stuck and with only 2 cylinders firing there was not enough power to even engage the clutch. I unstuck them (thank you Marvel Mystery Oil) and now the tractor is running beautifully.
