Can't Get No

i have a cub with a noisey first gear . would like to find
parts manul on line. this cub has done a lot of plowing.
i'm the 2nd owner of this 1950 cub

Just look for any post by me and the link for the Cub Manual Server is there. The TC-37 series Parts Manuals are under the Cub Parts Manual Link. The 37F is the newest, but I find the earlier ones to be really good and sometimes to be even of more help.

The GSS-1411 Service Manual is there as well. Good all-around manual and shows the innards real good.

Now, I have just done the 1st and reverse fork on Granny my 47 Cub. She was awful noisy in 1st gear. After I took the shift plate off, I found the 1st and reverse fork was broken. Now that it is all back together she is much, much quieter.

Oh, trying to get my Powerpoint presentation of the fix up on the server asap. Hopefully tonight, it is almost done. That is providing I get the time to work on it.

From the way it was written, I thought you wanted to view on-line manuals. Sooo, ifn you want to buy manuals on line then this is what I recommend.

Binder Books. They are the ONLY licenced reproduction house for IH publications and they also provide THE VERY BEST in reproductions.

I bought these from Binder Books:

GSS-1411 - Service Manual
TC-37F - Parts Manual
Owner's Manual

These three are the ones every Cub owner should have, in fact they are must haves. Being able to quote the part number is a big boon when trying to find parts at a local dealer.

One of the big problems today in getting parts tends to be the dealers parts guys. They don't want to be bothered lookin up part numbers on some 50 year old tractor that hasn't been sold since way before they were born. Hence, the phrase "Nope, don't makem anymore. Sorry" tends to get used a lot.

If you have the part number then you can actually check availability on-line at
Case Tractor Parts. However, you mut enter the part number without spaces, as such - 123 456 R 91 for example.

If the part number comes up, you can then purchase it on-line and receive it shortly, or you can order it from you CaseIH Dealer and wait about 10 days unless you want to add $20.00 bucks or so for shipping.

As for other manuals that are available but are more generic or are not approved IH publications then IMHO they ain't worth a pinch of you know what.

Also, beware of the e-Bay guys. They scan manuals, load em on CD and charge a minimum of $15.00 - $25.00 and the bidding goes from there. Not bad money if you can get it and sleep at night I guess.

Hi Rudi. Glad you like the shields. I finally got a row of turnips and a row of mustard planted and up about 2". I wanted to plant a few other things, but don't think I'll be able to. I'm in the process of making a binder book from your TC-39B Parts Catalog. I have done the Cub ones already. By the way, thanks. The engine on my Super A smokes and leaks oil so I got another one to replace it, but not up to it any more, so I put it on e-bay and got a $6.50 bid on it and some extras I was throwing in. Scrap price is more than that, so someone missed a good deal. I'm going to save your instructions about posting pictures because I don't know how either.

I think you should try finding the tractor service manual at jensales.com as they have all sorts of manuals. And if you still cant find then you can try their manual request service
