New to tractor restoring and new to this site so please take that into consideration. Just purchased a 1949 Farmall C (row crop) tractor with a full set of cultivators. Am in the process of stripping down to restore but not sure as to the color scheme for the cultivators and what is considered the best paint for the tractor. Valspar makes tractor & implement enamel but not sure if that should be my choice. As for the serial #, the fellow I bought the tractor from use to ride with his foot rubbing the tool box right were the serial# plate is, leaving the last 3 numbers hard to distinguish. Have what I think might be the numbers. Is there any place else I might find numbers that I could cross referance to come up with a positive serial #. Would appreciate any imput from you more seasoned pros. Thanks rusty t
