My 1946 M leaks coolant into the crankcase even when it is not running.
It is about one cup every week.
It runs great otherwise.
The head was reconditioned and a new head gasket put on but nothing changed the leak.
Is there some way that one of the water pump seals can permit water to enter the crankcase?

Your block could be cracked behind a sleeve. Remove oil pan and put 5-10 lbs pressure to radiator then look up in crank case for drops of water between sleeve and block.
