I am restoring a 1948 Farmall H and the paint that the local dealer has seems to me to be way too dark for what I remember it being. Does anyone know if there is a special code for the earlier tractors or is it one size fits all? The CaseIH dealer has only one color and I think an automotive type paint would be better so I am looking for some mixing code or whatever. Thanks for your input. Floyd

My H is a 48 as well.

The Yesterdays Tractors site has a section on paint codes that should be helpful to you too.
